The New Zealand Institute of Intelligence Professionals (NZIIP) is the professional body representing the intelligence community in Aotearoa. Established in 2008, it supports a rapidly growing and increasingly vital sector by fostering collaboration, strengthening professional standards, and advancing capability across public and private organisations.

 

NZIIP aims to positively influence the shape and direction of intelligence practice in New Zealand by enabling excellence for individuals and organisations working in intelligence and related fields. With a vision of building a highly connected and respected profession, it focuses on advocacy, ethical standards, training, and leadership development.

 

Its mission is to "grow and connect the intelligence profession through participation, partnerships, and protection", while promoting the value of intelligence in informed decision-making and outcomes that support the security and wellbeing of Aotearoa.
